What and when started your love for writing?
My love for writing started when I was a child. I would journal, throughout elementary and high school I was in writing contests. It was not only something I was good at but became a hobby. Later for me it turned into a passion not just my writing but the stories/writing of others.
Of all of the book genres, what drew you to write about yours?
I have always been an avid reader, which started with magazines than it was the urban books that got my attention. Reading stories of others who shared some similarity somehow. Besides that, life wasnโt easy for me starting at such a young age. I went through so many trials and tribulations. However, I always had faith that it wouldnโt be that way forever. I believed everything I went through would help someone. I knew I had to tell my story to help others see God has the final say! While understanding no matter how big the problem may seem, thereโs light at the end of the tunnel.

If you could meet your favorite author who would it be and why?
For me it would have to be TD Jakes. Yes out of all the authors I would have to say him. I remember reading his book โ Destiny: Step into your purpose.โ He stated normally a person purpose is attached to their childhood. It was than that the spirit spoke to me and said writing. At that moment I knew it was time and it motivated me to finally tell my story. Not knowing it was bigger then telling my story.
What is your biggest writing pet peeve?
I love writing with music playing, the atmosphere is so peaceful.
What makes your book(s)/writing special?
Everybody has a story but I feel what sets me aside from others, is that itโs a passion of mine. I never had a dream to have a career as a writer. I just wanted to tell a story as a testimony in hopes that it would be healing or help for someone else. Mentioning that because itโs not about the money with me but helping people. When I write I donโt write what I think would sale, I write thinking about what the reader would gain from my story? Or whatever it is that Iโm writing. With it being my passion along with a general love of helping others, Iโm able to pour all of that into my writing.
So…what are you working on now?
Currently Iโm working on finishing up series 3 of my book โ The Chaotic Lifeโ. While helping others becoming new authors as well. Soon launching my publishing company not only for those interested in becoming a author. A company that would offer some FREE publishing services to selected inmates. I have so much more to come when it comes to writing/ publishing. You can join my email list to stay updated on new work or ways to become a author yourself.
