Descendants of Time and Death
I really enjoyed this story. I havent read the first one and I would recommend reading the first one before this one. However it was easy enough to follow and get into even without reading the first one. Its a great adventure of two brothers trying to stop a civil war. They need to get both sides of the story from the King and Queen and also the leader of the rebellion. Which side will they choose and will they be able to stop the war before it even starts? The author is great at building worlds and images of the magical characters and the worlds they live in. Very well written and gripping.

Descendants of Time and Death
Big round of applause to Winnifred Tataw for another great book. Her characters are fully developed, not to mention brave and strong. The plot line keeps you wanting more and more. I did find myself screaming at my kindle. Rodrick is left to pick up the burden after the Demon King comes to an end. He is finding it quite difficult. He also is learning valuable lessons along the road. Will this be more that he can handle? What is next for Rodrick’s journey? I highly recommend this story. It is full of twists and turns and will keep you turning the pages quickly.

Tataw is extremely talented when it comes to her dynamic artistic imagery. She is able to take readers soaring on a magic ride, to the other side of reality. Called “IMAGINATION”
Her seamless flow of present views within her characters, where they deal with alcoholism, mental illness, and addiction. Yet each one (well not all) is loveable and endearing at the same time.
Tataw has started with a slow burn (since this is book 1), to introduce us to the fantastical realm she has created.
Tataw has since “MASTERED” and “HONED” her craft.
She has become like a fine wine since she drafted this book.
Keep watching her!

This is a lot of information. But it’s magical so don’t let that put you off. The character’s have wonderful personalities. This book needs to have a second edition with tons of illustrations! I want to visit this world, for real.
Author
Winnie Tataw is simply brilliant. In this mythological space fantasy her characters not only are extremely engaging but also very relatable. There’s star-hopping, fantasy, and many other super powers. The added mix of family drama was the perfect blend of exciting spectical that kept her story interesting. Winnie’s story does not disappoint. It is rather captivating, fast moving and thrilling. Tataw shined with exceptional story telling, unbelievable action scenes and intelligent dialogue. Fantasy is not my usually preferred genre of reading but the Lone Star Child was way more than that. It is compelling, riveting and Winnie Tataw has just done seemingly the impossible; she’s made a hard core classic literature lover hop genres to that of Fantasy. I absolutely loved her work and highly recommend this story to anyone needing a break from your usual reading. Well worth the trip.

I really enjoyed reading this book. There was a strong focus on royal themes. However, there were some unique fantasy aspects as well. I especially enjoyed the references to archangels and clairvoyants. There were no details that left out in this book. Everything was described in great detail. I great appreciated that effort.
