Hi everyone! Welcome to another Built By Us project! Now this is our 10 B.B.U. project (Yay) and in honor of our first project back in March, DIY Terrariums, were doing back to your roots (git it hehehe) So I decided we’re going to make Plant Potters!

Usually, I post what you need to make the project earlier in the week, but this project is different. Since everything but the plants, itself can be found in your house! Most of the things on the list, are things I already had at home. That’s one of my favorite parts of DIY, reusing things for a new purpose. So you’ll need:

Okay now that we got all of our materials, let’s get started!

1. drill holes in the bottom of your “pots”

2. add your sand and soil to the pot

*the ratio of sand and soil depends on you, the pot, and your plant’s needs.

3. Add in your plants

*sidenote, I’ll be using these cute pots for another project in the future 😉

4. Fill the sides of the plant with soil

5. Time to Decorate!

6. Repeat steps 1-5 until all pots are filled

7. And you’re done!

I love plants! And you know I enjoyed doing this project, especially since my mother participated in making these potters with me. It’s a fun and relaxing project to do with your family and friends. And cute and simple decor to add to a (sunny) corner of a room.

If you don’t have some of the materials at home and want to purchase them, check out my Amazon shopping list below!

I didn’t add in the plants because they cost more online when you can get them in store for $2.99

Care Instructions

Keep cacti/succulent plants in highly lit areas. Water only when soil is very dry. Keep in temp. above 50 degrees F. They grow best in bright windowsills, desks, and tabletops. Fertilize plants every 6 months.
