Hello everyone! We are spotlighting another amazing female author. Today’s posts are an author interview with the amazing author, Srilakshmi Srinivasan. So, without further ado, let’s get on with the spotlight!
About the Author:

Mrs. Srilakshmi Srinivasan is an admirer of seasoned ethics, culture, and values. An aspiring lecturer offering personality-development sessions, counseling, and online basic classes on computer-science-oriented topics. Loves a lot to write, scribble, and think on ‘’perspectives of life’’ so as to attain ‘’globalization towards peace’”. Also, a passionate blogger to try and jot down scribblings on all genres of life, such as technology, management, cooking, points to ponder, quotes, and poetry.
When did your love for writing start?
It was my mother’s stories that sowed and vested in me the idea of writing. She was an excellent creative storyteller and through her stories, she instilled moral values in me and my brother. And there began my curiosity to create ideologies and share them via writing. I wrote a small poem about my parents in the regional language ‘Hindi’ when I was in the third grade that received a good response. Then I started writing the academic-related answers in my own words during examinations. The teachers praised me for the choice of words that exhilarated me to continue the journey from there on.
I started writing short stories that had good habits, moral values, and thoughts. Life moved on when I could not focus on writing for some time. After I got married and came to the USA, this land persuaded me to write as writing became my sole hobby. Slowly the interest made me an ardent writer and paved the way to do my English degree at the North Carolina University, Charlotte, where I could get to know 360 degrees and a lot more about, “writing”.
I am influenced a lot by my daughter, another mother, and my husband who inspires me to jot, books with philosophical contemplations. These writings have made me sculpt myself as though the teachings are not just from me to the world, but also revert to me as a boomerang helping me to evolve more out of myself!
Of all of the book genres, what drew you to write about yours?
Fiction. A fictional world imparts logic to illogical thoughts. Fictional stories or write-ups do not have boundaries and they let us get beyond the horizon. But as we write, we might start getting more creative, to build up logical facts for life which is an extraordinary learning. Watching a superhero movie, for example, teaches us to do the same tasks with our capabilities, even if we cannot fly like Spider-Man or Superman.
Hence, I use fiction to deliver the moral content, and nonfictional to deliver my fictional statements in the name, “Giveitathought”.
To quote an instance from my non-fiction book “Let’s Revitalize the Wedding Harmony” (2019), I have defined the “Husband-wife” relationship as a mirror image (a fictional poetic thought).
A mirror reflects the opposite of us, yet we sync up to adjust and adore ourselves while looking at it. Similarly, husband and wife should look at each other as their mirror image reflecting different thought processes. By this, we shall understand that “made for each other” connotates ‘custom-made’ and not ‘tailor-made’.
My fictional story, “The Scope” (2013) is about the Earth shifting its orbit and experiencing real-time time travel, and it explains the scope given by Earth to perform one’s duties in righteous ways.
Consequently, fiction leads to virtuous non-fiction.
What is one thing about writing that you can’t stand?
I appreciate all thoughts and jots of everyone as they evolve out of one’s subconsciousness. Anyone who sits to write is truly involved in it for they pour their heart and soul into it. Hence, there can be suggestions for improvements but never any dislike towards it. Because the universal truth is that, “Opinion Differs”!
What makes your book(s)/writing unique?
I am a devoted fan of seasoned ethics that belong to old generations. As a writer, adopting this approach allows me to understand the world holistically. And I hope my content is unique in its way.
So… what are you working on now?
Currently, I am working on a short Novel in the Romantic genre and a book titled, “Let’s Forward Back” which is all about Understanding seasoned ethics (as mentioned earlier).
I sincerely thank Winnifred Tataw, the proprietor of Win’s Books for giving me this beautiful opportunity to talk about myself. This is again an excellent vision to see everything about myself as where I stand it has let me create a further mission to achieve my purpose in life. My heartfelt gratitude for creating such an exciting scope.
