Hello everyone! Welcome to another author spotlight! These will be posts where I discuss and showcase, predominantly women and people of color, their writing talents and published works. So without further ado let’s get on with the Author Spotlight!
Meet the Author!

I’m a single mom with two teenagers, and a dog that acts like a human child. I began writing after I was shot, and healed from my wounds. And I just fell in love with writing after all of that happened. And I won’t be slowing down or stopping anytime soon, I love writing, publishing, and helping others to grow.
Tell me about you publishing company.
I’ve written seven books, and I’m the founder of Eagle Life Publications. We are an entrepreneur publication, working to help entrepreneur authors to grow. I know how difficult it can be for some new authors, especially when you’re trying to learn how things are as you go. So I wanted to provide a place where authors can come and let us help them with the process without the stress, and it’s free.
I recently signed a new author to Eagle Life Publications, and we’ll be pushing her books very soon, I’m very excited about that! I’m also on YouTube, Sidebar with Meko & Sam! We discuss a variety of real life issues, and we provide as much help as we can to our listeners. There’s a new video posted every Thursday!
What and when started your love for writing?
I’ve always had a vivid imagination and stories in my head. I started putting my thoughts I’ve always wanted to write a book ever since I was a teenager, but after getting shot in 2009. I knew that I had to take it seriously. It was 2010 when I began this journey, and now I just can’t stop! 🙂
Of all of the book genres, what drew you to write about yours?

I’m a fan of all genres. I write fiction, non-fiction, self-help, and kids books. I’m a lover of it all!
If you could meet your favorite author who would it be and why?
Sister Souljah is my favorite author, and I would love to meet her because she’s also an activist that isn’t afraid to speak her mind and stand up for what’s right. I see a lot of me in her.
What makes your book(s) special?

I feel like my book writing is special because it’s all authentically me, unique and special in my own way.
So…what are you working on now?

Now, I’m working on helping my new author to become the best author that she can be, authentically. Along with a few other things that I’m doing, but she’s my top priority.
MEKO has such a hardworking and strong spirit and I can’t wait to see where her publishing company, takes her! It was great interviewing an author and publishing company founder! If you want to get in contact or connect with MEKO you can through:
