All this week (Aug 23rd-Aug 28th) I will be doing a week of author and book spotlights, showcasing some of the most unique authors and writers I’ve met in a while. This year’s theme is women in fantasy. These posts discuss and showcase women, their writing talents, and their published works. “The Blade of Truth is a wonderfully written and richly descriptive novel with brilliantly drawn characters and settings; I can’t say enough about how genuine they felt. It is also very easy and quick to read, I dare to say that I devoured it in only three days, I couldn’t put it down, believe me! It caught my attention as soon as I saw the cover, plenty of fantastic drawings, and I just wanted to know all the time what the next chapter would bring me. In this original, imaginative and absorbing book, the author has built through powerful and detailed descriptions a chaotic world of war, assassins, and heroines.
Readers will find themselves on the edge of their seat from the very beginning and until the last page. In my opinion, the author, Lali A. Love, weaved a clever web of intrigue and mystery around the diverse characters, and built an inclusive plot that kept me interested and absorbed page after page. I’d greatly enjoyed another “chapter” in this sublime series and I strongly recommend this masterpiece.”
