Black History Month is here for the year 2026. And I think, there’s no better time to celebrate the power of stories that resonate with the heartbeats of our communities. So I had the idea to start a magical and speculative fiction anthology collection written by only Black authors and writers. So I came up with Astral Onyx Anthologies. We’re rolling out the red carpet for black creatives. I am inviting you to share your unique narratives and voices with the world.
“Why are you doing this?” you ask. Because I as a Black woman I understand and know every story matters. Each word written by a black creative adds to the rich tapestry of our shared history, a testament to resilience, love, laughter, and the strength found in the Black communities. Our stories are the echo of our ancestors’ whispers and the vibrant shout-outs of today’s trailblazers.
We believe that storytelling is more than just an art. Storytelling i’s a bridge that connects us all. And what better way to honor Black History Month for every month than by amplifying these voices. I want to spark conversations that matter, and fostering a space where creativity thrives for all Black writers and authors.
