The Stars Are Aligning: Announcing My First Tarot Deck, THE CELESTIAL MYSTIC

The journey of creating something from deep within the soul is a transformative experience. For years, Win’s Books has been a sanctuary for stories, wisdom, and imagination. Today, I am thrilled to share a massive milestone in this creative journey. The cosmos have been speaking, the cards have been aligning, and I am finally ready to announce the upcoming release of my very first tarot deck: THE CELESTIAL MYSTIC.

This project is more than just a deck of cards. It is a portal, a bridge between the ancient past and the infinite future. It is a visual and spiritual celebration designed to guide you through your deepest reflections!

What is THE CELESTIAL MYSTIC?

THE CELESTIAL MYSTIC is a fully realized Afrocentric futuristic tarot deck. It merges the traditional, sacred structure of the tarot with the vivid, boundless imagination of Afrofuturism. Imagine ancestral wisdom floating through cosmic nebulae, and traditional archetypes reimagined as cosmic travelers, star kissed oracles, and galactic queens.

Every single card in this deck is being crafted with intentionality, blending rich African cultural aesthetics with sleek, high-fantasy sci-fi elements. The Major and Minor Arcana are populated by figures who command the stars, channel the elements, and reflect the brilliant diversity of the African diaspora. This deck reimagines the fool’s journey not just as a walk through an earthly landscape, but as a voyage across the multiverse.

Why an Afrocentric Futuristic Tarot Deck is Vital Right Now

You might wonder why creating an Afrocentric futuristic deck is so important to me and to the wider spiritual community. Historically, the mainstream imagery associated with tarot has been heavily Eurocentric. For centuries, the archetypes of the Emperor, the Empress, the Hierophant, and the High Priestess have been depicted through a singular cultural lens.

While those traditional decks still hold immense value, I think spiritual tools should reflect the global tapestry of the people who use them. Representation matters deeply in spiritual spaces. When you look at a tarot card during a reading, you are looking into a mirror of your soul, your subconscious, and your potential. Seeing divine, powerful, and enlightened Black figures reflected in those cards helps mirror that.

Furthermore, tying this representation to futurism is a radical act of hope and reclamation. Afrofuturism allows me to envision a future where Black culture, technology, and spirituality thrive hand in air. It forces us to ask: What does liberation look like on a cosmic scale?

THE CELESTIAL MYSTIC answers that question by showing that our magic is not just historical—it is eternal, infinite, and futuristic. It gives readers a tool to manifest their highest timelines while honoring the bones of our ancestors.
